I am also one of jeter's biggest fans and i would have done the same. It means a lot to Derek. Even if they had wanted the fan to have it i would have held on to it. Sure, it could sell for like 100,000 but now he has legend seats for the rest of the season and gets to meet Derek Jeter. So, no it was not a mistake, just a very nice guy. I'll be getting an autograph from Hornung and Adderley this year. I thought it was a little strange having a Packer reunion in Jersey/Phila area. Maybe next year have a Eagles 1980 reunion with Jaws, Wilbert, Carmichael, Bergey, etc. in Wildwood.
